11 months!

Our first year updates are almost done with her birthday less than a month away! We had about one week of bliss where this girl was healthy. We have now picked right back up with the coughing and runny nose. She does not seem very interested in walking and she is very very stubborn so I try not to "encourage" too much. I put all my encouraging towards getting her to eat which is still a challenge. Especially when she usually can't sit in her high chair with out 30 seconds of screaming till she accepts I am not going to take her out. Some of our successes are that we are doing better with sleeping and sleep through the night.... on occasion. She can turn her little stroller toy which really is a success I should have posted a video. I use to spend all day helping her turn it because she would freak out every time she ran into something. She likes to push everything. She will push a table, a chair, a book all over the house. She has mastered opening up cabinets and drawers... and I have mastered closing them... I am sure you can picture what we do all day.

Her crazy, I'm gonna get that camera face.

Happy eleven months Rae!

10 Months

If there's anyone who knows me enough to read this blog but didn't get a Christmas card but wants one next time, let me know! I decided I want to be the kind of person who sends Christmas cards.

Rae turned ten months! Two weeks ago, I am behind. She is "cruising", she is waving, when we chew gum she pretends she is chewing gum too, and I am convinced she says mumma! She is 17 lbs and I forget how many ounces. She loves her activity table, balls and pushing  things around. She is just the cutest thing and it is sad in the winter to see her sick all the time. In the summer I was always wishing for the colder winter weather. Now I wouldn't mind a week of houston heat if it meant a healthy baby. The grass will always be greener!

Christmas in Pennsylvania

We spent two weeks in Pennsylvania with my family for Christmas, it was so awesome to see everyone and it has been two years since I have been there! We did not do a good job with getting good pictures... not even one with everyone in it. Its hard in the middle of all the chaos! Boy do I love these people though. We missed you so much Kevin!

Pittsburgh
All the cousins got to meet for the first time! Not the best picture, Rae had a 104 fever in this picture so she is excused. Johannes and Acadia - no excuse!

Tanner and Rae were so cute together, this picture really sums up their personalities nicely.

Caitlin is home from her mission!!! I love her so much and miss her so so much.

Rae had a second try at Santa's lap. This time we set her down with Tanner and for a minute (when this picture was taken) I think she thought she was just on a big comfy couch with her cousin, shortly after she realized there was a Santa there too and don't worry she started crying like expected.

Holidays and family is a lot of work and we (even more so my parents!) were worn out by the end of the trip but in the middle of all the chaos is where my heart is. In the middle of that tiny house with lots of people, shouting babies, leaking toilets and spilled hot chocolate is my heart.

And we missed our Ellis family and all their chaos! My heart is in the middle of that mess too. Somewhere between the cafeteria (kitchen) clean up and singing every Christmas song Kyla knows how to play.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
