7 months

Hugh is real good at sitting up now so he has reached the small window of perfect picture taking age. He is not quite as smiley for the camera as Rae always was/is. I had to really work for the smile picture. He was in a chilled out stare at Rae but don't laugh mood.

We have had slight improvement with solids. I think he is going to skip over baby food and just chew on pieces of food. After a month of trying he still doesn't open his mouth for baby food but he will eat a baby mum mum and he also ate some chunks of super soft steamed broccoli yesterday. He was eating (sucking/chewing on) a tortilla the other day too but I got nervous and took it away because I am crazy. So by slight improvement I meant he is no longer bawling in his high chair.

I said he could move around like a clock at six months and now he can move around like a clock really fast! He loves toys and has gotten bored with his bin of baby toys so the bin of little people are now his favorite. Also nothing makes him whip around faster than when he is turning around to reach this piano toy on his activity gym.

He loves riding in the wagon with Rae and he loves being carried in the carrier I wear. He is also super good in the car.

He goes to bed really early and wakes up once in the night to nurse and then goes right back to sleep and I am happy with that.

He is starting to handle dairy and soy better. I have put a little bit back in my diet but am still avoiding all obvious dairy and soy. I will eat bread that has soy in it but won't eat cheese on the bread, and he has been doing pretty good with that.

He is now onto size 18 month clothes and is about to out grow his infant car seat so I just don't know what to do about that except I guess I have to just let him keep growing! ;)

We all love our hughy man so much!

3 years old

After three years I still feel like she changes everyday. She is always surprising me with what she knows. She is always asking "why mom?" She is learning her letters and their sounds, she knows almost all of them but forgets the N, M, V.. the pointy letters are confusing. She likes it when I write the letters down and she "traces them".

She is serious competition for worlds best big sister. She is so nice to Hugh and plays with him a lot. She is always talking about how funny and silly he is.

She has gotten really good at story time at the library. In the last year and a half she has gone from crying and clinging to me and wanting to leave, to liking it but wont hold still, and now she goes right in and sits down in front of the teacher and sits through almost all of it without even coming to find me. She loves crafts, scissors, glue, play doh and coloring. She loves running around and playing catch. She loves building with blocks, plastic animals, and her many stuffed animals. She has made a lot of new friends. She is crazy about her daddy. She is enthusiastic about everything.

She still loves curious george. We watch curious george the most.... I know every movie and every episode better than anyone. I would be legit excited if a new movie came out right now. However she has also made room in her heart for mickey and minnie mouse.

She loves to get herself dressed..... four plus times a day. It is like playing dress up except with regular clothes, she loves it.

For Rae's birthday I let her "make dinner"

Juice boxes all around!

The Saturday after her birthday we went to Friendswood for Evans baptism and a birthday celebration for the two of them. Rae played really well with Lorelei and Dahlia.

And after two birthdays of candle fails, she finally blew out the candles this year! Twice!

I could talk about this girl for pages and pages. What a fun three years we have had,
Happy birthday Rae!
